Color-Infrared Aerial Imagery (Click on an Image)

You need the free Flash Plug-In. If you do not have it, you will be prompted to download it. The first image above is color-infrared, which maps green, red, and near infrared light to blue, green, and red respectivley. Blue information is lost. The image is therefore not true color; however, details such as roads can be seen better. The other above images were made from the original CIR by transforming the colors in different ways. In this way, it is possible to simulate natural color or obtain more strange renditions.
