Beatle Beat at Yorkship School Dance, February 14, 1964

The Beatles had recently arrived in the US and were on the Ed Sullivan Show Sunday February 9, 1964. Yorkship School wasted no time and the next Friday Dance February 14 included Beatlemania! The Beatles made such a big hit that they reappeared on the Ed Sullivan again February 16, two days after the Yorkship Dance. On the following Sunday February 23, a tape made on February 9 was shown. On the debut appearance of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964, the Beatles sang the following songs:
- "All My Loving"
- "Till There Was You"
- "She Loves You”
in one set and then later in the same show
- "I Saw Her Standing There"
- "I Want To Hold Your Hand"
On their return a week later, with a broadcast 8 pm from Miami via satellite, they played
- "She Loves You”
- "This Boy"
- "All My Loving"
in on set and then closed the show with
- "I Saw Her Standing There"
- "From Me To You"
- ""I Want To Hold Your Hand"
On the third appearance February 23, which was previously taped at 4:30 pm, February 9, prior to their first live performance that Sunday, they sang
- "Twist and Shout”
- "Please Please Me"
and closed the show with
- ""I Want To Hold Your Hand"
The Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show a total of 9 times, including the pretaped segments.
